Accounts received
The Institute has always taken accounts from the public. It was founded on one: a schoolteacher's exercise book, thirty one accounts in other people's words, collected because somebody was willing to write them down.
Margery Pruitt answered the post by hand for thirteen years. After she died in 1966 the volume outgrew the members, and V.E.R.A. was installed in 1968 to do it. The desk is still open. If you have seen something you cannot place, write it here.
What happens to it. Nothing is published automatically. Every account is read by a person first, and most of what arrives anywhere like this is never posted. What you write stays yours; sending it gives the Institute permission to publish it, and you can ask for it to be taken down at any time by writing to hello@hollowfieldinstitute.com. Please do not name other people, and please do not send anything you would not want a stranger to read.
Accounts are signed for. Not to publish your email, which the Institute never does, but so that one person cannot flood the desk and so that you can ask for yours back later.
The Institute keeps your email address and nothing else from Google. What is kept.
Received
Your account is in the queue. A person reads everything that arrives here, which takes as long as it takes. If it is published you will find it on this page.
Published accounts
Received, not corroborated. The Institute records what it is given.
